The books that form the foundation for this series are altered and the text often scoured, edited and reassembled to create a fragmented and sometimes wholly new narrative. Images are then chosen to complement rather than to illustrate the text. The titles of the book, the text cut into the covers and the inset photos all aim toward a contemplation of the American Dream.
